Money in, money out: what a UIDBuy order costs

Item price, freight to Xiamen, international freight, sometimes duty, and whatever extras you tick. Here is each part, with the places where UIDBuy's own pages disagree with each other.

Order money first, parcel money later

Drawn by Fox Finds from the help centre's article on how the service charges.

UIDBuy's own sum has three parts: the goods (the store price and the seller's freight to Xiamen), the international freight, and any customs charges. You pay the first part when you order and the second when you send a parcel. The second is a deposit: after weighing, the difference is refunded to your balance or requested as an additional payment.

Prices on item pages are shown in dollars by default, converted from yuan. UIDBuy publishes no exchange rule or margin, so the only way to know the rate you are paying is to divide the dollar figure by the yuan figure on the same page. On one guide screenshot, CNY 36.00 showed as USD 6.03.

Free service or 8 per cent: two official answers

Read the help article on charges and the agent fee is zero for orders placed on ordinary shopping platforms, extras aside. The User Registration Agreement, which every account accepts, describes a platform service fee of 8 per cent of the goods and 8 per cent of shipping. A third article says cross-border payments carry a handling fee of a certain percentage because of exchange rates and bank charges, without saying what percentage.

We cannot tell you which applies, and this site will not pick one. What we can say is where to look: the pay detail box on the payment screen lists an order fee and a handling fee as separate lines. Check both on your first order and compare them with the item total.

The pay detail box: order fee $15.22, handling fee $0.00 in the official example. Billing address masked.

Cards, wallets and failed payments

The payment methods article names PayPal, credit cards and Google Pay, plus a wallet balance for frequent use. You do not need yuan: any card currency is accepted. The payment screen in the official guide shows more than the article: Apple Pay, two card processors, an Ant-branded card route and a channel with a minimum of USD 16.36.

If a payment fails, UIDBuy suggests checking the details you typed, clearing cookies or switching browser, and if money left your account anyway, sending the transaction details to live support, which runs around the clock.

UIDBuy member rules page describing honor points
The membership rules page, captured 22 October 2026.

Spending on international freight and on extras also earns honor points under the membership programme: one point per yuan, released after the order is confirmed, and a flat 100 more once a cross-border order is confirmed. The rules page describes levels; it does not publish what the points buy in cash terms.

Coupons that were live on 22 October 2026

Three offers were visible that day. A banner across the top of the site offered newcomers 40 per cent off shipping, and the estimator applied a 40 per cent coupon tag to every quote. The official Discord server, with a member count of 5,329 that day, handed out a 20 per cent coupon that could be claimed again once used or expired. And a Halloween lottery was running. The page's meta description also promised 15 per cent off a free quote. None of these has published small print, and coupons like these change often, so check the coupon slot on the confirmation screen rather than planning around a figure here.
